Ginger Reichl Appointed District Advertising Competition Chair

nsac_news
Pinstripe Marketing is pleased to announce that its president, Ginger Reichl, has been appointed Chairperson of the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) for the Fourth District American Advertising Federation.

Each year, a sponsor provides students with a real-world case study and an outline over viewing its product and their current advertising plan. Students must learn about their product and research the brand’s competition in order to develop a new campaign plan for the company. The college chapter members then develop a 26-page marketing campaign and an accompanying 20-minute presentation. This new campaign strategy is then “pitched” by each team to a line of judges. The judge panel is comprised of professionals from the communications industry. Students from AAF college chapters from Florida and the Caribbean will compete in April 2014 and the winner will go on to compete at the national competition in June.

Ginger was a member of Florida State University’s NSAC team during her senior year in 1993 and says it was one of the best experiences of her college career. She later served as District 4 NSAC Chair for several years prior to taking a hiatus from board service.

“I have a big soft spot for advertising education and the NSAC,” said Reichl. “Working with the AAF, District leadership, and the team advisors is always rewarding, but seeing the student’s work always leaves me energized and inspired. These are the best of the best in the next generation of advertising professionals.”

The 2014 NSAC sponsor is Mary Kay.

Team ‘PinStrike’ Supports SPCA Tampa Bay

bowling_newsThe “PinStrike” team put up some less-than-stellar numbers but took home the trophy for best dressed team at the 2013 SPCA Tampa Bay Pet Bowl on Saturday, July 13th. While the team struggled to score a mere 1314 points in three games (ok, we’re not bowlers) the event raised more than $15,000 to support the organization.

Florida Bar updates lawyer advertising rules

Ginger Reichl | Tampa Bay Marketing and PR Agency | Legal Marketing

The Florida Bar has issued updated advertising rules (effective May 1, 2013) that address changes in how lawyers can communicate on their web sites and social media, along with a few changes to the ad submission requirements. Pinstripe president, Ginger Reichl, spoke with Jane Meinhardt at the Tampa Bay Business Journal about the changes and how we’re helping our legal clients manage social media.

As more lawyers pursue social media to take advantage of the cost effectiveness and increased audience, our consulting services have expanded to help them stay in compliance. For instance, LinkedIn recently added “one-click endorsements” for skills and expertise. However, because Florida lawyers may not use the term “expert,” the attorney may run afoul simply allowing this segment on his/her profile. There are also considerations with recommendations, utilizing groups, even determining with whom to connect.

To find out more or to schedule a meeting to review the new rules, contact Pinstripe Marketing.
