In celebration of Women’s History Month, we wanted to feature the Pinstripe women and what inspires them. Did you know Pinstripe is a woman-owned business and the majority of our team are women?
Let’s hear from Nikki Bromley, Pinstripe’s Director of Account Management.
“Change your life today. Don’t gamble on the future, act now, without delay.” – Simone de Beauvoir
Inspiring woman you look up to and why:
There are so many, I look to different women for different things.
My mother, Sharon Devereux, inspires kindness and inclusion.
My grandmother, Thi Nguyen, inspires hard work and strength.
My nanny, Romaine Napier, inspires generosity and unconditional love.
My fairy godmother, Carol Johnston, inspires self-confidence and gratitude.
Frida Kahlo inspires daring and individuality.
Jane Goodall inspires empathy and compassion.
Words of advice:
The best words of advice that I’ve ever received were:
“You can do anything. Literally anything you want.” Whenever I doubt myself I remember these words and I blossom with confidence.
Words of advice I would give to someone:
If you were to die tomorrow, what would you do today? It’s not advice, really, but it does help me to make decisions/choices and sometimes the choice I have to make is just to be happy with the little things or ignore the silly things, because if I were to die tomorrow, I wouldn’t want my last day to be spent stressing out about a pile of laundry or a burnt chicken curry. I’d rather cherish every second with my baby, husband, and all of our family/friends, and savor that mediocre dinner I threw together on a Tuesday while we laugh about it. The question puts things into perspective, especially if you find yourself dwelling on minutiae.
