Landis Evans + Partners is a group of very smart, very talented engineers. Their Director of Project Development and Public Affairs contacted Pinstripe Marketing to help with the visual aspect of their rebrand, namely their logo suite and a brand style guide.
They decided to rename the company, had chosen the name Landis Evans + Partners (surnames of the company’s leadership), and needed a brand new logo to go with the new name. The challenge in this case was that the company had a fairly long history and they wanted to maintain that legacy, while at the same time updating and modernizing their brand. Many of their clients recognized their logo and the previous name, so they wanted to make sure the community understood that they were the same company with the same mission, just an updated look.
We had a creative discovery meeting with the Landis Evans team to get a sense of their personality, the history of their brand, and the direction they were headed so that we could capture all of these in their new mark.
The other aspect that we kept was the curve of the “s,” which simultaneously symbolizes a curving road and a river, two of their main areas of expertise. We maintained the suggestion of the curve in the new logo, with the curves repeating and wrapping around to form a circle, which is a strong symbol that implies continuity.
We were thrilled with the final product and even more thrilled that our team and the Landis Evans + Partners team were able to work together to meet a tight deadline for the launch of their new brand.
